Junior Support Engineer - Las Vegas, NV

Ladies and Gentlemen, Geeks 4 Lease is in need of a fearless Support Engineer to be our modern-day hero.
Sure, you know a bit about Microsoft Exchange, and think VM Hypervisors are the coolest thing since cat memes and fedoras... But would you be willing to slay dragons and leap tall buildings in a single bound to keep our clients happy? We’re looking for a real SysAdmin crusader to fill this position, and we’ll accept no substitutes. (We promise not to make you LARP during the interview.... maybe.)

To be our totally amazing Systems Administrator, you must:
-
Have a basic grasp of TCP/IP, routers and switches. Be able to troubleshoto basic connectivity issues. Able to setup VPN connections.

Have a basic skillset in Windows Server (2003-2012). Be able to perform basic tasks such as user creation etc.

Basic experience in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other related items.

Have experience in providing helpdesk support to end users. Be able to provide fantastic customer service.

Have experience with, or be willing to learn how to use RMM tools (Labtech).
-
Be able to troubleshoot basic backup problems.
-
Be able to clean viruses and malware from workstations. Troubleshoot other workstation performance issues.

Have experience using and supporting Microsoft Office (and especially Outlook).

Be able to perform mobile phone setup / support.

Mac / Linux Experience a plus.

You will be a critical member of a small engineering team working to provide IT support for a wide variety of small and medium sized orginizations. This isn’t your normal position where you may be relegated to one small piece of the company’s technology, or a project that doesn’t matter. Instead, you will be instrumental and have the chance to work in many areas on many different types of technologies.
This job involves the following responsibilities:

Follow procedures and update thos eprocedures as needed to increase efficiency of the organization. Maintain network documentation.

Be an excellent problem solver, and willing to roll up your sleeves to tackle any issue thrown your way.

Respond reliably to on-call issues as needed.

Provide timely and detailed entries into the ticketing system for all work performed.
What you should bring to us:
-
Proficiency providing end user support in a Microsoft corporate network (domain).
-
Ability to be on-call 24×7 at least one week per month. (Low volume. We average a call per month or two.)

2+ years in a end user support or related role.

A strong desire to learn new skills and have fun doing it!

Amazing customer service skills.

Outstanding attention to detail.
