Senior Support Engineer - Las Vegas, NV

Ladies and Gentlemen, Geeks 4 Lease is in need of a fearless Support Engineer to be our modern-day hero.
Sure, you know a bit about Microsoft Exchange, and think VM Hypervisors are the coolest thing since cat memes and fedoras... But would you be willing to slay dragons and leap tall buildings in a single bound to keep our clients happy? We’re looking for a real SysAdmin crusader to fill this position, and we’ll accept no substitutes. (We promise not to make you LARP during the interview.... maybe.)

To be our totally amazing Systems Administrator, you must:
-
Have a solid grasp of TCP/IP, routers (Sonicwall, Cisco), VPN, switches and other networking equipment.

Have an advanced skillset in Windows Server (2003-2012). Be able to perform server migrations and advanced troubleshooting.

Network administration. Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other related items.
-
Be able to plan and carry out complex projects with little supervision.

Have experience with, or be willing to learn administration of RMM tools (Labtech).

Have experience in VMWare, Hyper V, and other VM technology.
-
Have experience with SAN / NAS.
-
Have experience with Microsoft Exchange (hosted and onsite).

Mac / Linux Experience a plus.

You will be a critical member of a small engineering team working to provide IT support for a wide variety of small and medium sized orginizations. This isn’t your normal position where you may be relegated to one small piece of the company’s technology, or a project that doesn’t matter. Instead, you will be instrumental and have the chance to work in many areas on many different types of technologies.
This job involves the following responsibilities:

Create and maintain scalable, reliable, consistent and repeatable systems.

Working directly with clients to solve their issues, plan for their future needs, and above all do it in a way that puts a smile on their face!

Work closely with management to further develop the company's technology offerings.

Be an excellent problem solver, and willing to roll up your sleeves to tackle any issue thrown your way.

Respond reliably to on-call issues as needed.

Provide timely and detailed entries into the ticketing system for all work performed.
What you should bring to us:
-
Proficiency installing and administering various IT assets.
-
Ability to be on-call 24×7 at least one week per month. (Low volume. We average a call per month or two.)

5+ years in a system administration or related role.

A strong desire to learn new skills and have fun doing it!

Amazing customer service skills.

Outstanding attention to detail.
